
Ky-mani Marley, who is close to completing his untitled third album, is certainly a major star. On February 26, 1976 Ky-mani was born to famous Robert Nesta Marley and Jamaican table tennis champ, Anita Belnavis, in Falmouth, Jamaica. East African word Ky-mani means "adventurous traveler". For a man living up to his moniker, every album and trip is an adventure. The journey of his musical career started in 1999 with The Journey. Through an eclectic approach, he sought out his uniqueness, roaming the musical spectrum, exploring his many abilities. Many More Roads, a traditional reggae album that received a Grammy nomination in 2001 showcased a more mature Ky-Mani. Many More Roads and The Journey received a great reception across the globe. The album established Ky-Mani's position as an independent artist. Ky-Mani brings together roots reggae hip-hop, R&B along with contemporary jazz and hip-hop to create his sound.
